client love

Agency owners just like you had this to say...

Lauren is our secret weapon!

We have been working with Lauren for over 5 years now, and she always delivers websites on time and with great communication. Her attention to detail and commitment to delivering on the business goals for our clients is invaluable. As well as WordPress development projects, she is also able to produce exceptional design work, manage our Hosting and DNS Servers, provide ongoing white-label support for our clients, and Project Manage our more complex non-Wordpress projects. I love that I can always rely on her for a quick turnaround on any type of bottleneck I might be experiencing.

A true gem, highly recommended to any agency.

Jack Loraine

Managing Director at Boostbery

An absolute pro.

Lauren indeed is a meticulous developer, who understands best practices and the need for light, scalable, and accessible builds in record time, with fantastic communication. She is organised, responsive and is able to take direction and also point out potential improvements to the UX where they make sense.  A pleasure to work with.

Ben Jones

Director at Refresh Marketing & Design

I work with creative and marketing agencies taking build-ready designs and developing them in WordPress for their clients.

I’m Lauren, an extra meticulous WordPress developer based in Brighton, United Kingdom. I have always loved finding simple solutions to complex problems!

I am super passionate about translating build-ready designs into fully developed, SEO-friendly websites using WordPress and Elementor Pro Page Builder by harnessing the full potential of WordPress without using plug-ins unnecessarily, and delivering sites that customers can actually manage and grow.

10+ years of experience carefully crafting sites and landing pages and iterating them to success has provided me with extensive knowledge about how to use storytelling, visuals, and great user experience to create seamless and engaging visitor experiences that promote action.

I’m a naturally driven and resourceful individual with a deep passion for education, collaboration, and problem-solving.

IRL I’m a scuba-diving instructor and underwater camerawoman who loves nudibranchs (the smallest creatures of the reef). I spend my free time either in the gym, underwater or on the couch with my beloved special-needs English Bull Terrier watching nature documentaries together.

WordPress Developer

1. Share your designs
I’ll review your designs in detail and provide you with a quote and a timeline for the project.

2. Begin development
Upon agreement, I’ll start the work on the agreed schedule, by building each page across desktop, tablet, and mobile. I’ll give you regular updates as I work through the project.

3. Provide feedback
Once I’m 90% there, I’ll share a link for you to review the website with your client and provide feedback.

4. Launch new website
Once the website has been put through final testing, I’ll hand it over to your agency either as a ziped archive or I can migrate it to your/your customer’s server if you provide access.

Work is done efficiently so you’ll be able to expect a reasonable turnaround. The scope of the work required, what type of partnership we have, and how collaborative the work needs to be will affect how long it may take to complete.

Most website builds take 1-4 weeks to complete. Some websites may take longer depending on the size of the website and the responsiveness of clients.

For work that requires lots of back-and-forth, I prefer to connect with you or your team through a project management software of your choice. Email is also acceptable if less communication is required. You may receive short Loom recordings from me to view at your convenience and we may also share some documentation and files via Google Drive or Dropbox. Meetings and calls are kept to a minimum, but sometimes they are required.

I charge for development projects in two ways:

Per project: This is for a fixed and fully-defined scope of work. Full website builds fall under this category. I cannot give a specific quote until we discuss the details of the project. Payment terms are 40/40/10 – Commission / Review / Delivery.

Per month: If you’re interested in a monthly partnership (retainer) I would be happy to send you the details. Existing websites that are generally in good shape but need to be maintained and expanded are candidates for monthly partnerships.

If you would like to discuss an alternative way of working, I am open to finding a solution that benefits both parties.

I’ve been building for the web for 10+ years. When you work with me, you can rest assured that I will build your website design pixel-perfect in WordPress.

I take complete ownership and accountability for the work I produce and will not disappear on you except for scheduled annual leave which is communicated well in advance.

The agencies I’ve worked with love that I’m organised, always-on-hand, detail-oriented, very quick and efficient, and a proactive communicator.

No, I also accept other forms of designs, however other formats can take longer to translate into a build, and therefore are not the most cost-effective for you.

No, I’m able to design for mobile and tablet based on your desktop design. However, if you wish to provide your own designs for mobile and tablet then I am happy with that too.

I generally require that you have your own design and copywriting capabilities, whether those come from people on your full time team or additional freelancers. I do keep an eye out for any spelling or grammar errors and can advise on website best-practices.

I can design website page layouts that align with the rest of your website or brand, and can also create or source additional graphics or other visual assets. These services are considered add-ons.

Yes, I have been developing exclusively in WordPress since 2009 and have no plans at the moment for switching platforms.
